Our January Event – Save the Date

What: “Make Your TaB Dreams Come True”

When: 1/13/2021 (all day)

How: We will be calling Coca-Cola at 800.GET.COKE

All of us will be asking Coca-Cola to help us on national Make Your Dreams Come True Day by Saving TaB from the history books and bringing it back!

How will this be successful?

Strength in Numbers. We need everyone to call, and call multiple times. If you have friends or family members who owe you favors–this might be the time to cash them in. A phone call only takes about a minute.

Making our Calls “Stand Out.” Coca-Cola receives thousands of calls every single day, so this day will be no different to them unless we have a high volume of calls, or we start to “trend” in their contact center. Their customer service representatives will raise things up to management if they see unusual trends or themes of phone calls–so if we’re all talking about making our dreams come true, and how saving TaB will achieve that…we hope that will make us stand out or at least become the “talk of the call center” that day.

Need Help with a Script? Here’s a sample you could follow.

Call Center Representative: How can I help you today?

You:

  • I’m a big TaB fan, and I am disappointed that you discontinued it at the end of 2020. Can you please document a formal customer complaint about this that can be shared with management?
  • Did you know that today, January 13th, is a holiday? It’s Make your Dreams Come True Day.
  • The way Coca-Cola could make my dreams come true would be to announce that they are going to bring TaB back.
  • Is that a possibility? What can I do to get Coca-Cola to change its mind?

Let us know how your call(s) go in the comments!

We are Making Progress–More E-Mails Needed

We’ve all been e-mailing, writing, and calling Coca-Cola the past two+ months; and so far, we haven’t seen a lot of progress. Until now. Though many of us have received form letter responses, offers of commemorative glasses, or a coupon–we weren’t really hearing anything that would indicate Coca-Cola was truly listening to us. But now all of that has changed.

Over the holiday weekend, we saw our first bit of positive progress. Many of us recently reached out directly to the CEO (Mr. James Quincey), and to the Chief Operating Officer of Coca-Cola North America (Mr. Zoran Vučinić).

And this weekend, Mr. Vučinić personally responded to several individuals with information that they are currently exploring how they can make TaB “selectively available in the future.” He claimed that it is a work in progress, and he cannot make any promises at this time.

With this tiny bit of positive information–we all need to reach out and encourage them to make sure this idea comes to fruition. Now is the time for us to double-down on our efforts to contact Coca-Cola–so they see we are determined to save our soda, and that we are supportive of the possibility of them making it selectively available in the future. This is a step in the right direction!

On this first full week of 2021, we encourage each and everyone in the group who is interested in the #SaveTaB movement to write an e-mail to Coca-Cola’s executives.

Some suggestions for your e-mail:

  • Remind them how important TaB is to you.
  • Explain your loyalty to TaB and Coca-Cola.
  • Describe how TaB is a viable product poised for growth–it just needs a little marketing/advertising.
  • Include TaB stories/anecdotes to humanize your request.
  • Ask for the ability to continue to purchase TaB into the future, through whichever method is financially viable for the company.
  • Keep it friendly, positive, and respectful.

And as always, if you get a response, let us know!

New Year’s Eve

Happy New Year’s Eve to you all! 2020’s been crazy, so let’s welcome in 2021 with open arms–and look forward to all of the great things to come.

Of which we hope will be the news that TaB will be reinstated in 2021. But for that to happen, we have to keep working with Coca-Cola to let them know that TaB is a viable product, and convince them to market and more widely distribute it to increase sales.

Today, why not send a quick e-mail to Coca-Cola to let them know you’re hoping TaB will make its comeback in 2021?

Write Letter Wednesday!

It’s that time again–every Wednesday, we encourage all of you to write letters to Coca-Cola to reconsider their decision. And this Wednesday is no different.

If you are able to, please write a letter to Coca-Cola today. We’ve received word that one customer received a somewhat positive response from Mr. Zoran Vučinić, Chief Operating Officer, North America Group! So this week, we’re encouraging you to reach out to him.

If you can, write him a letter today!

Final TaB Tuesday of 2020

As we communicated in a prior post, our calendar of events was created to organize our #SaveTaB campaign. Today is “TaB Tuesday!”

It helps us keep our tweets and Facebook posts interesting and engaging. Every Tuesday, we ask you to create tweets and posts that showcase TaB. Think of it like a TaB show and tell. Use photos of your TaB stockpile (if you’re so lucky), TaB memorabilia, TaB clothing/decorations, or just a fun picture that represents TaB Tuesday to you.

As always, to maximize the impact, make sure your posts are public and are directly on the TheCocaColaCo Facebook, and @mention @CocaColaCo on twitter. And always use the hashtag #SaveTaB.

If you don’t have twitter and/or need some help with tweeting–read more here.

Happy Holidays!

Whether you’re attending a socially distant holiday party or staying close to home this year, we hope you’re able to enjoy the festivities with your friends and loved ones and of course, with TaB.

This has been a challenging year, to say the least. But it has allowed us to reflect on what we have to be thankful for.

Of course the news about TaB has been disheartening. But we’ll keep up our efforts to save our soda, with much more to come in 2021.

Happy Holidays! And don’t forget to ask @CocaColaSanta to bring you some TaB! We know we’re all on the “nice” list 🙂

Celebrity Allies Needed

We need your help contacting people who could help us.

We’re trying to gain more attention to our cause, and one thing we think will help us is by engaging celebrities and famous people who might be TaB allies.

This website shows many examples of movies and television shows where TaB was present. Try reaching out to actors who appeared in these productions to see if we can get a response! Try to contact them (facebook, twitter, instagram, etc) and see if they’ll engage with you or support our cause!

All it takes is one person with a huge number of followers to retweet something about our cause for it to start to take off.

If you are interested in helping in this effort, please contact famous people–and make sure to mention @CocaColaCo, use the hashtag #SaveTaB, and mention savetabsoda.com. Contact us if you have any successful results, or share in the comments!

Save TaB Petition Could Use Some Love

Hi TaB Friends,

The activity on the Change.org petition to #SaveTaB has slowed down. We’d like to take this time to remind you all to sign it if you haven’t, and to share the link on your social media platforms to spread the word. Surely, there are more than 4,000 people who wish to see TaB saved?
